Hello! My name is Alexandros, and I’m a passionate and experienced teacher of Ancient Greek and Greek history, with a degree from the University of Athens, specializing in Ancient Greek and Modern Greek Literature. I’ve been teaching for over 19 years, and my mission goes beyond helping students improve their grades—I strive to make learning a meaningful, personal, and enjoyable experience. Each 60-minute lesson is structured, engaging, and customized:
• Introduction (10 minutes): We review previous material and set clear goals.
• Main segment (40 minutes): Includes a concise theory presentation (e.g., Homeric characters) and plenty of practice through exercises, creative writing, and discussion.
• Wrap-up (10 minutes): Q&A, clarification, and summary.

Very knowledgeable and experienced teacher! He knows the material like a true Native (which he is; he is an Athenian...) I felt like I was back in college -- I really miss properly learning things, and I want to go back to academia to study classics, so this was a good thing for me! I think it's best to learn a little modern Greek and familiarize myself with the basics like alphabet reading and grammar before signing up for the next class, but I definitely will within the month. I'm so excited to imagine finally being able to read Homer and Plato in the ancient Greek language 🤓🤩
