Hello, I’m Abby, a native Spanish speaker from Mexico. I’m currently studying English, so I understand how it feels to learn a new language. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, working out at home, journaling, and learning about personal growth. Because of this, in my classes we often talk about daily life, habits, motivation, culture, and real-life experiences. I focus on teaching Spanish in a natural, practical, and useful way for everyday life. We chatted for the whole lesson today. That is incredible for me. I am not always correct but the fact that I can communicate is great. Abi is so patient and is fully focused and interested in my progress. She gently corrects me which is so useful but made the flow of the communication the most important thing. At other times we focus on accuracy, grammar and structure. I love the variety.

Today I asked if we could review the language needed in shops, restaurants and cafes. Abi started with a vocab review so I had the language I needed and introduced some new phrases for ordering etc. Then we did controlled practise by reading some dialogues and then we did some role plays with different scenarios which were more spontaneous. These were at normal speed. I had to listen carefully so I could respond correctly. I loved the way we progressed. Now I can take it into the streets and test myself. Thanks Abi
