My name is Caterina, I teach Italian literature and History in high school. I studied Latin, Greek, and Classical Armenian — but I also love roasting vegetables, walking in nature, and watching slightly tragic queer films. I'm passionate about literature, especially by women writers, and on slow days you'll find me crocheting with a cup of herbal tea. I was born in Genoa, lived in Bologna, and now I'm based in Abruzzo. I also teach abroad whenever I can.
I believe the best way to learn a language is through conversation — in a space where you don’t feel judged, but free to make mistakes and learn at your own pace, in your own way.Ja jako nauczyciel
I'm a patient, creative, and very curious teacher. I love listening to people and finding the right way to help them feel comfortable with the Italian language. I’ve taught in many different contexts — in schools, and also in associations supporting migrants — and I easily adapt to my students’ learning styles.
If you’re looking for a welcoming teacher who will encourage you to speak without fear (and with a touch of irony), I might be the right one for you. My lessons are light, but never superficial!

I believe languages are, first and foremost, tools for communication — that’s why my lessons focus on real, living Italian, with lots of conversation, practical examples, and real-life contexts.
We can read texts, listen to dialogues, play with grammar, and talk about literature, food, travel, politics — or whatever you're passionate about. My lessons are tailored to you: whether you’re starting from scratch, looking to improve your level, preparing for an exam, or learning Italian for work or study, we’ll find the right path together.

Mi piacciono molto le lezioni! Katerina sempre seleziona i temi interessanti e aiutami a correggere gli errori di discorso. mi sento che il mio livello sta diventando piu alto e spero che posso prendere un esame per b1 livello presto.

Caterina è una ragazza molto carina, e ha più o meno la mia età. Abbiamo molti argomenti di cui discutere. È sempre molto paziente e trova materiale di lettura, così durante la lezione possiamo discuterne insieme. Le sue lezioni volano sempre!💕
