Γεια σου! My name is Theodore and I live in Kavala, Greece. I am a certified, professional teacher and I have studied History and Ethnology along with Greek language and literature. When I am not playing the bouzouki, the traditional Greek instrument, or exploring my surroundings with my e-bike, I am teaching the Greek language by blending in Grammar, Vocabulary, everyday conversations, History, Culture and Fun. My lessons aren’t just grammar drills—they’re journeys through Greek myths, ancient philosophers and bouzouki rhythms. I have studied History and Ethnology along with Greek language and literature, I have a teaching qualification and I have focused on intracultural education and History. I really like to come into contact with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds. This way, I think I get a better understanding of myself and I feel I become better and better, both as a teacher and as a person, in general! I really enjoy communicating with my students, whether it is during the lesson or outside of it! I follow a holistic approach in my teaching method, which acknowledges the fact that the student is both a learner in progress and an individual person with his/her own needs! I focus on everyday language, as I believe that this is the best way in order to acquire a better understanding of the actual language itself and the people who are speaking it. Whether you’re a beginner or polishing fluency, I’ll tailor lessons to your needs. Learning through play (play-learning, as I call it) is the best way for the students to absorb and acquire the knowledge. I focus on structure (grammar, vocabulary, etc.), communication (speaking and having conversations with my students), History and Culture. I have been taking lessons with Θόδωρος since August 2025. He’s a really great and enthusiastic teacher, the best Greek teacher on italki by far! He gently guides you through the Greek language and shares interesting facts along the way. He’s so knowledgeable about everything and he’s a great person. I highly recommend that you take lessons with him, you won’t regret it and your progress will be amazing

Wonderful experience! Theodoros is an exceptional teacher, very knowledgeable, kind and patient. He was well prepared with interesting materials and had many good ideas about how we could continue and improve my Greek. Can't wait to book another class!

Absolutely fantastic first lesson. We started with a little bit of history about the Greek language which helped me understand why things are the way they are, something many teachers don't do. Theodore is very passionate about the Greek language and is willing to take as much as needed to make sure that I understood things. Looking forward to more.
