We greatly enjoy our lessons with Haruna. She is very friendly and patient. We have learned a lot of useful phrases for our upcoming trip. Haruna also provides interesting insights into life in Japan and background information on culture. Thank you for all the fun classes, Haruna. We cannot wait to put our knowledge into practice.

I had a very fun, laidback, and enjoyable conversation with Haruna-san. We had discussed many interesting topics throughout our lesson and was very supportive. I really appreciate the different suggestions on sentences I create, it truly helped sharpen my conversational skills. She also creates a helpful word document so I can review later on what we had discussed. After my most recent lesson with Haruna-sensei, I'm feeling so much better prepared for my trip to Japan! Our lessons are so fun and engaging, and I learn so much. My curiosity about language often steers us off of the lesson plan, but Haruna-sensei is always willing to explain the nuances of her language, and as a result, I get even more out of what we discuss. I'm very excited for our next lesson!

I worked with Haruna for 3 months to prepare for a trip to Japan, and the experience was excellent. She is patient, relatable, and consistently takes the time to fully explain essential phrases with clear, practical examples. Her lessons and materials were tailored to real travel situations, which made everything useful and easy to retain. Each session felt purposeful and engaging, and I always felt like I had learned something I could actually use. Haruna-sensei was my first-ever iTalki instructor, and I keep coming back because she's so wonderful. She's very cheerful and warm, and very good at helping me make sense of conversations and concepts. She's also very patient, and I love the way she teaches. As we talk, she types what I'm saying and gives me feedback on how to sound more natural. Sometimes we don't fully stick to the lesson plan because the conversation becomes so interesting, but I find that I learn even more as a result! Haruna-sensei is so good at making me feel comfortable and confident speaking Japanese, and I would highly recommend her as a tutor!
