Maoz is an incredible Hebrew teacher who goes above and beyond to ensure his students truly understand every aspect of the language. He is always extremely prepared for each lesson, presenting material in a clear and structured way that makes learning both effective and enjoyable. His ability to tailor his teaching to my level has made a huge difference in my progress, and his encouragement keeps me motivated every step of the way. Maoz is a great Hebrew teacher. I have learned so much from him in the year that we worked together. He has excellent materials and is the most patient teacher that I have ever had. He has a well-thought-out system for teaching you Hebrew in a manageable way. He is the easiest person for me to speak Hebrew with. His method is very practical. He gives you good homework and it has helped me progress much faster because of it.

Each week, Maoz gives me practice, and then we begin each lesson with what I was supposed to practice from our last class. He is patient even when I am not prepared for our class. We review what I was supposed to review, and he offers me the choice of adding it to the next class or moving on. He is very intentional in making sure I've learned - and not just memorized - which can become a habit when you're in seminary.

Maoz has been teaching me for almost a year now. He is an extraordinarily skilled language instructor with exceptional teaching skills, a wide breadth of knowledge, unusual intelligence (although he dislikes wearing this badge), the ability to adapt content to our - student - needs, and he has the patience of Job. He has the ability to make the complex simple... all in the target language, in Hebrew.

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Maoz. We spent a large part of the lesson speaking in Hebrew, and he created a very calm and encouraging atmosphere that made it easy to keep trying and speaking, even when I made mistakes. He corrected me when needed and explained things clearly and patiently. We also worked on verb structures and I especially appreciated how he adapted the lesson to what came up naturally. I’m looking forward to continuing!

Maoz continues to be an excellent teacher. Not only does he bring new materials to each lesson, but he also incorporates the book I used in my seminary classes. He is patient, encouraging, and very knowledgeable about the history and etymology of not just Hebrew words, but also Italian. He is an excellent teacher and I recommend him highly.
