After graduating college, I decided I wanted to gain life experience and travel while teaching English online. I love traveling because of the new perspectives it brings me and trying all the great food around the world! I am currently living in Mexico, and my goal is to become fluent in Spanish and learn salsa dancing while I'm here.

I specialize in working with children because I am passionate about youth development and education. As an after-school English teacher, I plan and teach curriculum to children aged 6-12, using techniques such as music education and the communicative approach. In my student-centered lessons, I use a variety of class materials and see what works best with each individual student. With new students, I start with an ice-breaker to get to know each other and establish a friendly class environment. We will then formulate a learning plan together, based on the student's specific goals and interests. I also try to make sure that my student talks more than me, so that they are getting as much speaking practice as possible during lessons.
