Hello! My name is Paulo, an English and Portuguese tutor from Brazil and a passionate language learner. I help students become more confident and natural when speaking through relaxed, conversation-focused lessons. I learned much of what I know about languages through immersive learning based on real conversation and daily communication, and I bring the same approach to my classes. My goal is to create a friendly environment where you can practice, make mistakes and gradually build fluency. My interests include literature, cinema, games, sports, travel, philosophy, music and psychology. Let's share wisdom while we develop the languages! Book a trial lesson and let's start practicing! I work as a translator for EC Innovations and regularly interact with foreign languages and international speakers. I also give individual English classes for expatriates that come to Brazil for business. My experience with English began in early through immersion in games, books, movies and news. From 2017 to 2020 I interacted with exchange students and visiting professors at Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), helping foreign students navigate between formal and everyday Portuguese. I'm a co-author of the book Handbook of Venoms and Toxins of Reptiles (2nd Edition) edited by Stephen P. Mackessy. I am a TED Volunteer for subtitling TED TALKS.
