Helmut is a great teacher! He is clear, patient, and well prepared. He gets you speaking from the start, explains grammar in a way that actually sticks, and gives useful homework. Lessons feel structured but relaxed. I always finish more confident than I started. I like that the classes feel personal. He adapts to my level and goals instead of running a one-size-fits-all lesson. I leave each session feeling more confident and with something concrete I can use. Helmut is Punctual, professional, and motivating. Highly recommended if you want a native teacher who will get you talking. I am going on exchange to Germany in a month and thanks to Helmut I feel fully prepared !

He has been by far my favourite German tutor the way he teaches and explains every concept makes me love learning German he is funny and he has helped me significantly improve my conversational skills while also being very funny to talk with

Helmut is the best Italki language tutor I have ever had for context I have a German exchange coming up and he has helped me with every aspect of the exchange while making it fun and engaging. If you want to learn and actually enjoy German culture and the language Helmut is perfect for you.

Helmut is an amazing and experienced teacher, who quickly identified my goals and helped me to learn a lot, while also immersing me in the language with different materials and stories, making the process fun and enjoyable.

Best German teacher I’ve had. Helmut tries hard every lesson, explains things until they actually make sense, and corrects you in a way that helps instead of shutting you down. Patient, prepared, and worth it.

Helmut is actually a really good German teacher. I was pretty nervous starting lessons but he makes it easy to talk. He is a native speaker and you can tell he has been doing this for a while. He does not just dump grammar on you. He explains it in a normal way so it actually makes sense. We speak a lot in class which is what I wanted. He is patient when I mess up and he corrects me without being annoying about it. He always has stuff ready for the lesson and it matches what I need instead of some random worksheet. He shows up on time and the classes feel organised but not boring. I leave feeling like I actually improved a bit, which did not happen with other teachers I tried. If you want someone who will get you speaking German and not just reading from a book, book Helmut. I would definitely recommend him.
