Amr Abdelaziz

After many years of failed attempts to learn Arabic, I finally found Amr. He helped me unlearn mistakes I thought were already set in stone, and from there, we’ve been able to continue deepening my knowledge. He uses a variety of teaching materials, so lessons are never boring, and he’s always happy to help with anything outside the regular coursework as well. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn the language.

My conversations with Amr are always a highlight of my week. He is a total joy to study with. I really appreciate his relaxed, flexible, and patient style of teaching, because it puts me at ease to express what I want to say without being afraid of making mistakes. I know he will fix them very kindly! And besides being a dedicated and very caring teacher, he's also a wonderful human being: warm-hearted, open-minded, and with a great sense of humor! Like every other time I have talked with him, I left today's conversation with a big smile on my face, and grateful for all we talked about, and what I learned in the process (new words, grammatical distinctions, things about him or about Egypt I did not know about). I feel very blessed to have him as a teacher and friend.

Good lesson

Amr is an excellent teacher of Egyptian Arabic and is always willing to discuss content found in and outside of textbooks. He is flexible, genuinely enthusiastic to see his students improve, and is consistently on time and ready to teach. I have studied Egyptian Arabic with Amr at this point for the greater part of a year, and I have no complaints about him or his methods, and have seen results in my fluency, both in and outside of the classroom.
