Hi! I'm Josie! I'm an American currently living in France. I have always had a passion for travel and learning new languages. My students would describe me as caring, fun, and easy-going. I love meeting new people and talking about their unique perspectives on life. One day, I would love to speak as many languages as possible so that I can meet even more people around the world. I know how important it is to find a language teacher who believes in you and encourages you. That's what I do best! I create a safe place for you to learn. As a teacher, I'll make our lessons fun as I truly feel this is the best way to learn a language. Personally, I have found that while learning foreign languages (French, Japanese, and Spanish) having a teacher who is enthusiastic is what has kept me consistent and has helped me become even more fluent. Before our first lesson, I'll ask you what your level is so that I can gauge what I will prepare for you. I will also spend the first lesson getting to know you so that the next lesson we can center our time together around topics that you are passionate about: art, cooking, cinema, theatre, music, travel, culture...anything really! For me, one of the most important motivators in learning a new language is having someone to cheer you on.
