My name is Luca, I'm 34 yo and I'm from Italy. I have a degree in foreign languages and I love to teach italian! I did it in an informal way during the years, through language exchanges. Sono Luca, ho 34 anni e sono italiano. Sono laureato in Lingue straniere e amo insegnare l'italiano. L'ho fatto in via informale negli ultimi anni, attraverso scambi linguistici. I'd describe myself as a a committed teacher, empathetic and focused on the learning process the students has to go through. I like to have a laugh with my students, put them at ease and ask them to share information about their culture.

I love to tailor my lessons on students' needs.
With beginners and lower-intermediate students I prefer to focus on grammar, studying on textbooks, doing exercises together and reading fairy tales or short stories and watching short videos. The will to communicate is the key to get into the language, so I like to chat from the very beginning.
The classes my intermediate and upper-intermediate students seem to prefer are conversation ones, during which we talk about different topics. We stop from time to time to focus on grammar and expressions. I usually provide files with theory and exercises, along with videos and articles I may find useful for the students to watch or read.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

La migliore conversazione in italiano che abbia mai avuto. Luca è super cordiale, attento, interessato, fa domande, commenta, motiva, apporta correzioni molto importanti, insegna nuove espressioni. Mi è piaciuto così tanto che non vedo l'ora del prossimo incontro.

I have completed 25 lessons with Luca. When I started in May 2022, I knew NO Italian. I started because I had a vacation planned to Italy and I wanted to learn some basics. I have learned so much - how to order food, buy tickets, get directions, talk about the weather, talk about my day/habits, talk about opinions, past tense (Passato prossimo), handy expressions, and much more.
On my trip to Italy at the end of July, I used my new skills a lot!! Learning Italian enriched my trip more than I can describe. Even though this trip is now a memory, I will continue my lessons with Luca. He is a great teacher, and he gives you the formulas and building blocks to understanding the language. Highly recommend!
