Nicole is always helpful, punctual, patient, and kind. She remembers all kinds of details of our past lessons and knows which words I know (or should know!) and which words will be new.

Nicole is a very intuitive teacher with the patience and ability to adapt to different learning styles. It is always a positive experience to spend time with Nicole!

It was great to talk with Nicole again. As always she was very patient when I needed time to think in the target language, very attentive to what I had to say, and leads the conversation so that it flows very well.

I'm always impressed with Nicole's openness, friendliness, and ability to clearly explain the nuances of both Mandarin and Cantonese, as well as how they relate to English words when further clarification is needed. Even 90-minute classes always fly by very quickly with Nicole!

This was my first time using italki and I scheduled a trial lesson with Nicole to learn Cantonese. Nicole was very easy to talk to and made a comfortable environment to make mistakes or errors in my speech, which all in all made for a very effective lesson to improve my Cantonese. She will jot down words and phrases in the chat box to make it easier to recall later on which helped immensely. After assessing my level of Cantonese, she has also adjusted her teaching style/structure to suit my needs the most, instead of following a general standard which I really appreciated - it is that kind of attention to my personal needs that makes me feel she truly wants to help me improve my Cantonese. It is only my trial lesson but so far I am impressed with the approach that Nicole is using and would highly recommend to try her out as your teacher!
