Growing up in England and moving to Spain as a teenager has given me a first-hand account of what it is like to learn a new language. At first, I found it difficult to learn Spanish as a new kid in a new environment that was very different to England. Whilst I was there, I met the most amazing Spanish teacher who really helped me and was patient and kind. Over time, and with a lot of hard work, I was able to speak Spanish fluently and I still travel back to Spain a lot to see my parents. I have tried to do the same as this teacher did with my own students. I try my best to make my students feel comfortable in class to express themselves whilst also challenging them every week.
