In addition, be ready that Rafael will seed some universal questions in your head and push you to reflections which is an unexpected bonus to a class. Rafael’s thorough feedback helps to expand the vocabulary. Finally, he comes across as a kind human-being that is something to treasure nowadays. To wrap up, if you are looking for a teacher who is knowledgable, patient and has humane attitude towards things in life, Rafael is def your go-to option.

An absolute all-star teacher! I have been a regular student of Rafa’s for a while, and I always leave fully energized after our Spanish chats. The conversation flows, and I hardly note that any of my deficiencies in the language are barriers to deep and meaningful exchanges. I absolutely recommend his “Next Level Spanish!” modules, where he finds thought-provoking material, based on common interests, to review before the class. I often wish that the clock would just freeze, as his questions and suggestions generate so much intrigue that I just hate having to disconnect. I chose Rafael fully aware that he is a community tutor, which is what I need since I am already taking formal lessons daily. My sessions with Rafael are meant to conversation skills and fluency. He was transparent and reiterated that he is by no means a professor, but will certainly help improve my conversational Spanish with topics culled from experiences gained from traveling to many countries. I like that he managed to quickly assess my level and graded our conversation to the level accordingly. Nothing too complicated that I could not understand, but he also managed to challenge me a bit audally. My 30 minutes initial session went as expected and I really look forward to improving my conversational skills with Rafael significantly.
