Comme toujours, j'ai passé un très bon moment en cours de chinois. Cela me mets de bonne humeur pour toute la journée. Stacey mene le cours de façon organisée et les temps de conversation libre sont toujours un très bon exercice où je me sens à l'aise pour simplement parler chinois sans redouter de faire des erreurs. Elle adapte également le cours pour répondre à mes questions (je crois que j'ai compris les nuances du 要, et j'ai eu un déclic pour la prononciation des sh/zh/ch !). I almost never leave comments but I'll do one here. Stacey is probably the best language teacher I've had for any language, ever. She reviews vocabulary, gives various sentences, understands my horrible Chinese, and explains complicated grammar so much better than anyone I've ever seen. Her knowledge of English is incredible and that's why I think she can explain. nuances of grammar and discern how to convey the idea on a native level rather than just use the Google translate word or even just stop with 1 example. Because I've learned multiple languages, I think I have a better understanding of how to ask about a wide variety of contexts to make sure that I *really* understand how to use it, and Stacey gets it. She is an incredible teacher and you would be lucky to have her. I recommend her to all my friends all the time.

I have been taking classes with Stacey for a month or two now and I can see my progress. I really like my sessions and I look forward to it. She makes the class interesting and the materials used are also great. She correct me every time so that my tones are all correct. I would recommend Stacey to everyone who is interested in learning Chinese in a fun way.

Stacey is so good at making the lesson feel easy and fun while keeping a focus on grammar and vocabulary. I can’t understate how worthwhile these lessons are. It’s like getting the value of several college professors in one person and all one-on-one private lessons. Even though I struggle and search for words every 3 seconds, she keeps me engaged and speaking. She clarifies grammar/vocab points both verbally and through notes she shares with you so you can always review what you learned in past lessons. For my lessons, she only speaks in Chinese, but she is able to speak perfect English at an academic level. This means that she is able to understand the English logic behind my attempts at constructing a Chinese sentence. She then takes my poorly constructed Chinese sentence and repeats it with the correct grammar and vocabulary. I feel like 1 hour with her is like spending a week in a college class. She will make you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth and then some.

Stacey is a great teacher! She is very patient and lets me speak even if it takes a long time to get my point across. I highly recommend her classes!
