If you can’t find a suitable time, message me—I’ll see what I can do. • Born and raised in Oslo (neutral dialect) • italki teacher and student since 2017 Every student is different, but most benefit from a mix of theory and practice. Many prefer a 50/50 approach: structured study (textbooks/workbooks) and speaking. I’ll ask about your preferences and adapt lessons to your goals, or guide you with structured materials. • Experienced in preparing students for Norwegian exams • I often assign short writing homework and give detailed corrections in the next lesson All students are different, though most want a combination of theory and practice! It is the most common preference of students to learn 50% theory (following text- and workbooks), and 50% speaking practice. I will ask you about what you prefer, and we can try different things. - Have prepared many students to pass Norwegian exams, successfully. Adapting to what the students wants to learn, or leading the way with material based on what the student wants. - Often gives out writing homework sentences! (and correcting them in next class) - Focus on clear pronunciation and increase comfort in speaking.

My goal since January is to stay in touch with the Norwegian language despite the fact that my schedule does not allow me to study between our sessions. Ola has a lot of understanding for my situation and patiently listens to what I'm saying to him. Thank you so much for that. This is priceless...

A promising first class; Ola is a perceptive teacher with clear diction and has good resources to deal with specific language problems. It's a little like visiting a psychologist or perhaps a dentist to separate out Swedish from Norwegian, but the class this morning was a great start! Takk så mye Ola, vi snakkes (saktende)!

Tusen takk Ola! This was my first lesson but Ola was very patient and kind. He was able to also point out if I made an error but in a way that did not make me feel self-conscious. He really tried to give positive encouragement and gave great recommendations for resources to continue my study outside of the lesson. He took the information I gave him pre-lesson and tailored our lesson from that information. It was a very enjoyable lesson and I will be booking another lesson with him.

I would highly reccomend Ola as a language teacher. Classes are engaging, tailored, and my Norwegian has progressed rapidly!
