Hello there. I'm Freddie, an award-winning educator, entrepreneur and founder of FoL English. I lecture at a British university and, since 2009, have worked as a teacher, Director of Studies and examiner across ten countries.
I hold a degree in Philosophy, PGCE with QTS, MA TESOL (Distinction), as well as the Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English Online. Moreover, I'm a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and have been recognised with a British Council Commendation and the University of Kent Mentor of the Year Award.
Outside of the classroom, my interests range from philosophy, politics, history, business, economics, to AI, tech, tea, travel, TV, board & strategy games.Ja jako nauczyciel
I specialise in teaching intermediate to advanced learners (B1–C2+), via Zoom, who feel their English has plateaued and want to move decisively to the next level.
I support both focused short-term objectives—such as refining an important presentation, interview or essay—and longer-term development, including raising your overall level, acing an exam, or securing your ideal job, course or client.
My students include professionals, executives and entrepreneurs; UG/PG students; exam candidates; ambitious young learners (13+) & English teachers.

I primarily use original interactive PowerPoint courses that you will not find elsewhere. All materials are provided via links to FoL English.
My lessons move beyond everyday chit-chat, engage with abstract and philosophical concepts commensurate with the highest levels of English. As a result, you'll also develop precision, confidence and critical thinking.
Every class includes a detailed PDF feedback report for review, and homework is available upon request. Additionally, lessons are fully tailored, with a choice of five correction levels, to suit your preference.

Most of the time Freddie shows an outstanding level of English. Not only he does this but he also shares knowledge accurately according to his students' specific studying approaches. By saying that I mean, Freddie is not the type of teacher that will mess around. All the forms of activities being focused on lessons are followed with concrete guides from Freddie. Every kind of problem has its structural step-by-step instruction of how to deal with troubles and overcome them. Saying shortly, Freddie is clearly proficient at English, therefore his professional view is essential for all the people that are oriented at learning English.

Freddie is absolutely a trustworthy and professional university course tutor. I was very troubled with the design of my thesis, but thanks to his help, I was able to overcome it.（still working on it hopefully very soon）

Freddie is one of the best teachers I have ever met in Italki. In each class, he is well-prepared, and he creates his own teaching materials to suit specific needs. Today, he identified areas for improvement in my essay by highlighting using different colors. The discussion was specific, to the point, providing a clear objective. If you are looking for a true professional, Freddie is definitely a teacher you can't miss.
