Aiko

I really appreciate that Aiko will review an help me practice each unit. I had technical troubles this time and thankfully Aiko was able to help me strategize a way to make sure we could still have our lesson. Adjectives can be tough but they’re important to practice. We learned a lot of new vocabulary and I’m going to do my best to learn it well.

This was a great lesson. I’m excited for each topic as we learn it. I appreciate Aiko’s patience and encouragement throughout the lessons. We review often so I have opportunities to really retain the information. The homework is never too difficult and I feel like it helps me keep practicing

This was our first lesson on 2026! I felt very encouraged as we reviewed briefly the material that we’d covered at the end of last year and I’m excited about the next phrases to learn

As my arrival in Japan draws closer I feel less afraid and more confident to use my Japanese. I feel so grateful for Aiko’s teaching and it gets a little easier every time and she’s so patient and encouraging

I always have such a good time during lessons. I appreciate Aiko collaborative and thoughtful approach as we continue lessons. She’s patient, understanding and provides excellent examples and resources to continue my learning. During this lesson something that really stood out during this lesson that was really fun and just heartwarming was the Pikachu examples that Aiko used. I use a Pikachu squishmellow as a back support during our lessons and it was super fun to incorporate it into the lesson. She’s done this in the past too and everytime it’s very fun and we have a great time.

We’ve gone over a lot of vocabulary. Aiko sensai always makes it very fun and engaging, I appreciate her encouragement to speak because it’s the best way to learn. I also appreciate that she celebrates with me when I get an answer correct. I enjoy her lessons very much and appreciate that she uses the practice questions to encourage me to answer them like I would if I were to be asked in Japan.
