Hello, everyone, my name is Joana and I'm Brazilian. I am a native Portuguese speaker but I also speak English fluently. Although I studied engineering, my true passion is language teaching. Few things give me as much satisfaction as seeing students progress.
Olá, pessoal, eu me chamo Joana e sou brasileira. Minha lingua materna é o português mas eu também falo inglês fluentemente. Apesar de ter me formado em engenharia, minha verdadeira paixão é o ensino de idiomas. Poucas coisas me dão tanta satisfação como ver o aluno progredir.

In English, I offer lessons from the basic level onwards, which in practice means a bit more grammar.
In Portuguese, I offer conversation practice and grammar correction.
Em inglês, eu ofereço aulas do nível básico em diante, que na prática significa um pouco mais de gramática.

I definitely recommend Joana if you are looking for an experienced teacher with a lot of teaching experience and knowledge of the languages that she teaches. She is professional, calm, patient, helpful and interesting to talk to.

I'm a total beginner at Portuguese. Joana makes me feel very at ease during our lessons and waits patiently as I try to put together what I'm trying to say. She also clarifies key vocabulary and pronunciation without overdoing the corrections. Muito bem!
