Originally from Oakland, California, I am a former professional marathon runner with a decade of competitive experience, including eight marathon victories. My international background includes extended residencies in Japan and China, where I worked as an English instructor. I am conversationally fluent in both Japanese and Chinese, reflecting my deep appreciation for these languages and cultures. My lessons are very active and fun. There is always much participation and it is very enjoyable. There is repetition and some questions so there is a lot of speaking practice and practice makes perfect.
