I had another wonderful lesson with Shinnie. His teaching style is easy to follow and when he explains things in Korean it is always in a comprehensible way. The lessons are always fun, interesting and engaging. One thing I particularly enjoy is that his lessons are structured with his own curriculum, but that he is free to change it according to your needs. We have started doing mainly conversations nowadays, and even though my speaking is nowhere near as fluent, he is really patient and makes me feel comfortable. Which allowed me to have more confidence in my ability to speak and hold at least some small conversations (I think). Besides that it’s good to discuss my findings during immersion with Shinnie, because he has a great understanding of the language. Overall, I would highly recommend Shinnie to anyone looking for a Korean tutor on italki. They are knowledgeable, patient, and adept at tailoring their lessons to the student's specific needs and interests.

Once again Shinnie proves himself to be the best Korean tutor on Italki, he helped me go from thinking I will never pass to getting an A on my most recent test. He is reflexive to your needs and the way that you learn and he is really dedicated to his teaching. I had another tutor on here who had let me down, and was worried Shinnie would do so too, but he never has. He has made me confident in my reading skills and vocab, I cannot recommend him or thank him enough. Thanks Shinnie :)

One of Shinnie's big strengths is his ability to teach expressions and words that are actually relevant in real life scenarios. He won't make you lose your time with stuff that natives don't use it. I feel like everything that he teaches me is going to be very useful when I'm out talking with natives. And that very refreshing, as many programs out there are full of expressions that sound weird to natives. I fully recommend him for whoever wants to get really good at real Korean.

I just started using Italki a couple of a days ago and I’ve had a couple of trial lessons already. 시니 was the best person I had by far. He explains everything to you so clearly and so easy that it really does feel like just a friend telling you some information. Because it was our first lesson we went over a lot of information to figure out my level and how to move forward. But, even then I didn’t feel like it was too much information for me. Time went by quick but it felt like every second was used on something important. Just after this 1st lesson I already decided he is the teacher I need. I feel confident that I can reach my desired level with his teaching methods. The only other thing I can say is to give it a try yourself. You will not be disappointed.

As always, Shinnie is patient and very helpful. I am really grateful for all his tips and suggestions which has helped improve my Korean skills greatly.
