I’m Edison, born and raised in the Philippines. I hold a business degree and a TEFL certification, and I work as a geospatial analyst. After four years in the corporate world, I moved to Europe to teach—first as an English assistant in Madrid, then privately—and later lived in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. I’m a multilingual learner: self‑studied French & Spanish; conversational Italian & Portuguese; travel‑ready Russian & Czech; and now tackling Indonesian. Outside teaching, I play guitar, drums, harmonica, and piano. I also love basketball, chess, street photography, writing, and travel—I’ve visited over 40 countries.

Edison is seriously the best- he's super patient and really cares about your learning. I feel like that's a large reason why I've made so much progress with him! Definitely take his classes if you want to learn how to express and articulate your thoughts :)

Salamat! This was very helpful to see where I needed improvement in vocabulary. Also appreciate that you were patient with me fumbling over my words. Thanks again!

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about hiking and then we did some role-playing in Tagalog where I pretended to be checking in for a flight at the airport. Maraming salamat!

Delivered challenging reveiw and enjoyed the reverse transcription today, as well. Cultural discussions are always welcome and interesting.

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about our plans for Valentine's Day and the Super Bowl, and then we did a roleplaying exercise in Tagalog where I pretended to go to a doctor's office and make an appointment. Maraming salamat!

Another great lesson with Miguel! We had some casual conversation in Tagalog about stuff we'd been doing lately in our respective lives and also about some broader topics (like the ages when people typically have kids in the Philippines and in the U.S.). And then we did a role playing exercise in Tagalog in which we pretended that I was a customer at a restaurant trying to order some food. Maraming salamat!
