Hello everyone! My name is Maria and I'm a native Russian language speaker. I graduated with honors from International Relations and in 2019 I took courses of teaching Russian as a foreign language in Pushkin State Russian Language Institute of Moscow. For the last 7 years I've been living in Greece. As a Community Tutor first of all I'm focused on a conversation practice and we can talk about huge range of topics. I'm a fan of communicative approach to language teaching, because as I understood from my own experience, the best and the fastest way to learn foreign language is to use it in real world situations. As a teacher I'm very patient, polite and supportive, so don't worry about possible mistakes. During our lessons I will use authentic materials to help you to achieve fluency and after each lesson I will send you a summary of the studied material. I have been taking Maria's lessons for a while now and I feel I have improved a lot! She is always kind, always avalaible to plan her lessons according to what I need (which can vary from week to week, since I'm studying Russian at uni and the activities we do vary constantly) and always uses interesting materials. Maria is also a great at encouraging her students, which is a great bonus for a teacher!

She prepares very well the lessons and uses energy and dedication in order to teach Russian, and other aspects of the Russian culture.

Maria worked in a very structured way. I knew practically no russian and she guided me through our first lesson. By the end, I was able to read and speak a first simple conversation without much difficulty. I appreciated the diligence and professionalism.
