Hey everyone! I'm Huimin, originally from Xi’an, China, and currently living in Malaysia. I’ve got six years of experience teaching Mandarin to students from various countries. Most of my students are adults, ranging from beginners to advanced. Living in the multicultural environment of Malaysia has sparked my interest in different cultures and made teaching a super exciting adventure for me. I hold a Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (CTCSOL), and I absolutely love sharing the beauty of the Chinese language along with its rich culture. Over the past six years, I've gained loads of experience teaching Chinese to students from all walks of life, with levels ranging from beginners to advanced learners. I mainly focus on teaching adults and emphasize practical language skills. Working in diverse cultural settings, especially in Malaysia, has helped me adapt to different students' learning needs. My teaching style is quite different from the traditional methods that focus heavily on reading, writing, and grammar. I prioritize comprehensible input, which really hones in on applying the language in real-life situations. In my class, listening and speaking are key—through lots of practice, students naturally pick up Chinese. I tailor lessons to fit each student's current level, aiming for them to understand and tell a little story as a learning goal in each class. I believe that this approach allows students to truly master communication skills in Chinese while enjoying a fun and relaxed learning experience.
