I’ve been taking classes with Kiny for quite some time now, and the progress I’ve made has been remarkable. I started as a complete beginner, but her teaching style made Mandarin feel far less intimidating than I expected. Kiny is incredibly patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in her students’ progress. She explains new vocabulary and grammar clearly, and always finds ways to make difficult concepts easier to understand and remember. Her lessons are well structured, engaging, and adapted to my level, which has helped me build confidence steadily over time. I always look forward to our classes and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Mandarin, whether you are starting from scratch or already have some experience.

She will give you so much vocabulary and good explanations. I recommend for conversational Cantonese at any level. I am completely new on it and I feel I will be able to speak soon <3

Kiny is wonderful! I really enjoyed my lesson with her. She tailored the lesson to my needs and thoroughly explained everything. She made sure I understood what I was learning and helped to go deeper into the meaning. Really appreciate her teaching style!

I have taken a lot of lessons with Kiny since the start of this year. She has helped me improve my Cantonese significantly where I am starting to get more comfortable speaking with family and out in public here and there. Her lessons have taught me new things and filled gaps in my knowledge where I wasn't aware. She politely corrects me when needed and is consistently patient with me.

I grew up with Cantonese in the household but unfortunately lost a lot of that skillset when I was put in ESL classes. I'm re-learning now and it can be quite a frustrating journey trying to gain back what I've forgotten. So, I'm glad I have Kiny as a teacher since she's very patient! Her lessons are structured well. I like learning the formal/"correct" way as well as the slang/everyday usage. As a result of my lessons so far, I have felt more comfortable trying to practice at dim sum or with my family. There's still a long ways for me to go, but I'm grateful to learn from Kiny and for her guidance :) It's helpful to be able to practice in our lessons together.
