Mariko Egli

This was my 60th and last lesson with Mariko, due to her starting on a new career path. We always had fun lessons and I always looked forward to talking with her. She is a great teacher, but most of all a great and kind person. 真梨子先生、本当にありがとうございました！真梨子さんは毎レッスンでは優しくて役立ったのでたくさん学びました。真梨子さんのおかげで僕の日本語のレベルを上げました。ありがとうございました！

Continued chatting about Japanese culture, in particular, Restaurants and Cafes. Mariko writes down vocabulary on a Google Document so I can copy to my Anki after each lesson which is super helpful for remembering words and sentences. Thanks as always Mariko 😊

This is my 15th lesson with まりこ先生 and she is excellent. She is really good at explaining grammar and the fundamentals of speaking. She gives practical examples and let's you figure out stuff for yourself without feeling rushed or stressed out if you make a mistake. Mariko-sensei is also a very visual person so she's able to show you the sentence structures and colour them in a way that makes sense if that helps you learn. She listens and is very encouraging while letting you practice your Japanese in a welcoming environment. If you want to get strong fundamentals or even fill in any knowledge gaps, Mariko sensei is an excellent teacher.

Super interesting and fun lesson as always!! Today we talked about different aspects of our cultures and and traditions in Japan and Italy. Learning with Mariko helped me so much, I started as a complete beginner and now I can understand and even speak with more confidence. Thank you so much Mariko!!

La leçon est très fluide, en une heure on voit et apprends déjà énormément de choses. Quand Mariko-san explique les choses c'est clair, ça a l'air facile. Sans parler des moments où on rit qui donne une atmosphère très cool à la leçon. Je la recommande !

Mariko-sensei is fantastic. She is the best bar none at explaining how Japanese grammar and forming sentences works for English speakers. She has helped me make Japanese sentences naturally so much. Knowing what particles and tenses and forms to use can be difficult but she makes it simple. Her lessons are very flexible and she provides a lot of examples along with getting you to apply it what you're learning practically. Mariko-sensei is amazing with random questions and subject changes but she's even better when you can send your questions in advance and she can prepare answers for you. She is also incredibly patient and has such good energy. Thank you, Mariko-sensei. I'm looking forward to more lessons.
