As a teacher, I am fun and dynamic. I believe that learning a language should be about engaging your students into activities and giving them plenty of opportunities to talk. I am a tech-savvy that is why I use different online resources (google classroom, google drive, Skype, flashcards, kahoot) to make the most out of my classes. I also adapt the material to every student, there are no two classes which are exactly the same because every person will learn the language at a different pace. It is important for me as a teacher to be motivational and express this motivation to the rest. It is the only way to make sure that people want to continue learning with you. My lessons are full of variety to make sure nobody gets bored during the classes. I follow and put into practice 2 methodologies: the communicative approach and the Task-based approach. Meaning that I give plenty of opportunities for the students to talk, looking for fluency and accuracy and also I will send them different tasks to deal with them together, so that they learn how to solve realistics situations in the language they are learning on their own. All the material I am using is authentic, from magazines, newspapers, flashcards, videos on youtube, instagram, daily conversations with friends or letters about serious matters. Silvia always provides the most effortlessly enjoyable classes! Every class, she is able to ask questions that bring us into exciting conversations about various topics. This helps me tremendously begin to learn new vocabulary and daily Spanish! Every lesson is extremely fun, exciting, and helpful in every way!

Silvia is a great teacher with interactive methods, I’ve had her for years now, and I’ve never once been disappointed. She helps me with homework and I have never failed a test with her help. Truly a great teacher, definitely recommend.

Silvia is such a wonderful teacher, she is interactive, unique, she is very passionate and encouraging in her teaching, and she provides many fun materials to work with, she just really builds that fun learning atmosphere. I'm very thankful I found her in my spanish-learning journey. (Ella esta la pera! she's the best) :)))

In this session we built on what had been introduced in the previous session and I had the opportunity to use the ‘question words’ with which I had been struggling. Silvia suggested alternative phrases and put those on the screen, so that I had both audio and visual examples to help me.

I’ve had a few weeks off after the summer so it was great to see Silvia and start Spanish again. We were straight back into it and did some good practice on the past tense using lots of real life examples.
