My son has taken lessons with Tess老师 six days a week for more than two years -- hundreds of lessons -- so we are certainly qualified to evaluate her teaching abilities. My son has been studying Chinese really seriously for about three years. In that time, he has progressed from sub-HSK1 to approximately HSK4, or B2 ("Confident") in the European CEFR ranking system for language attainment. My son can speak Mandarin endlessly on many topics now and read Hanzi with great fluidity. Tess老师 deserves much of the credit for his rapid progress in Mandarin Chinese. Tess is smart, funny, personable, and committed. She can adapt lessons and teaching to suit particular needs. She always treats her students in a welcoming and generous fashion. Tess has a professional's dedication to her work. My son recently won first place in an international Mandarin speech competition. I credit this to my son's years of study and practice with Tess, and the diligence and effectiveness of her teaching.

Wow! What a lesson! In just half an hour I went from not knowing one word of Mandarin to being able to have a basic introductory conversation. learning with Tess is easy and fun, I enjoyed the lesson a lot and wish it was longer!
