I’m a native English speaker who was born and raised in Surrey, near London in England. I have a BA (Hons) Degree in History, and a Human Resources Management qualification. I have a strong business background with over five years’ Human Resources experience within hospitality and leisure.
In my spare time I enjoy walking in the countryside and visiting historic places. I love reading and would feel lost without books in my life. I’m a keen board game player and enjoy watching movies too.
I have five years’ experience of interviewing and working with many people for whom English is a foreign language. I have seen their increased confidence and joy as their English improves.Ja jako nauczyciel
I believe that students should feel encouraged as they learn, and that the learning space is a safe place to try out new skills and improve their performance. I have over ten years’ experience of training with young people and adults. This has been to impart skills and knowledge, and communication has always been a big part of this.
I am kind, sincere, organised and enthusiastic. I love learning and really want to help you as you learn! During my Human Resources career, I have helped people prepare for interviews, development opportunities, and important meetings. I can also assist you in preparing for these situations. In our lessons we’ll use conversations on topics relevant to you. We’ll also use role play to allow you to prepare for a variety of situations, and to get you confident with informal and formal forms of English. We’ll expand your vocabulary and help you with your pronunciation when reading aloud and speaking.
I want you to end each lesson knowing that you’ve learnt something new, or that you have improved in a certain area.
As each learner is different, we’ll use teaching materials that suit your needs. In addition to those mentioned above, this could include discussing a piece of writing, describing a picture such as a piece of art or place, or putting words into phrases and sentences.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

I would say the lesson with Katrina is great. She has been my teacher since early last year and we covered a lot and now we have started on clauses, which is very important for speaking and writing. My journey to fluency is still long but I believe Katrina will bring me close to the target.

I had a very helpful lesson today as usual, with Katrina. We revise it you words I have learnt during last month, related to medical symptoms. Katrina helped me memorizing those words thanks to interesting and relevant exercises.
