Hi! I’m Alex, a PGCE-qualified teacher with over six years of experience teaching in London, China, and Peru.
I’m 30 years old and, when I’m not teaching, I’m usually playing drums in my band or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I am currently learning Mandarin myself, so I know exactly how challenging, frustrating, and ultimately rewarding the language-learning journey can be. My teaching philosophy is built around Comprehensible Input. I don’t believe in just memorising dry lists of words; I believe in learning language in context.
Immersion through Media: We will use real-world photos, videos, and articles to spark conversation and introduce new vocabulary naturally.
