Hello! I'm David. I like training my muscles at the gym and training my mind at my desk. I grew up in Los Angeles, California, and have lived in both the mountains of Colorado and the desert of Arizona. Right now I am a PhD student at Sophia (上智) in Tokyo. I am passionate about weight lifting. The way to get stronger at the gym is hard work and consistency. I think learning is the same. So I mix the hard work of vocabulary and pronunciation drills with the fun tasks of speaking. Learning a language is not always easy, but it can be rewarding and exciting as well. I also customize my lessons depending on student needs. I can help with academic writing and correct or critique your term papers, help interpret a difficult textbook, enjoy free conversation, or introduce grammatical fundamentals. David is an excellent teacher in all respects. Fun,friendly, patient, clear, structured in English! Our lessons have followed a structured and comprehensive course presented in a style that it easy to follow and understand.. I'd say he is capable of teaching English to any level/ objective.
