Isabel Heredia

Isabel is an awesome teacher and provides the direction and structure I need to my language learning. Before meeting her I was always trying to find short videos in Spanish to practice my listening comprehension. I’d ask my Spanish speaking friends and never had much luck. So I found it amazing that her homework is providing me with Spanish videos that we talk about the next lesson :) As well, she provides a pdf of vocab words associated with the video to help. This is great because sometimes I become focused on translating every word but with the vocab sheet it helps let me know what words are important to focus on and look for in the video.

Classes with Isabel are always interactive and well-organised. She always offers a range of interesting materials before every lesson. I would definitely recommend choosing her as a tutor, especially for those who need to develop their speaking and listening skills.

Isabel is helping me so much! I work in a very technical field (medicine) and she is coming up with some amazing creative ways for me to learn! I feel like my understanding of medical Spanish is stronger than it ever has been. I’m having so much fun learning! Highly recommend

I am so impressed with Isabel. While my Spanish is not great, I am able to speak in Spanish (almost) the entire hour. She amazingly understands what I am saying and then asks slow and thoughtful responds so I can keep practicing. I really appreciate that I am using Spanish the entire lesson. We spend time catching up in the beginning and then we typically discuss a video she sends me before class. This gives me a little practice time outside of class. Other class she may do a lesson based on my needs. I highly recommend!

Isabel is very professional and thoughtful and how she teaches. She spends time putting together her own materials and they are very well done. She is an excellent teacher - highly recommended.
