I am Eli(sabeth), born and bread Estonian with a passion to learn languages. I have now crossed onto the other side, completed a TEFL level 5 course and started teaching Estonian online.
I have also started a podcast Estonian with Eli, to have more natural speech audio available for beginner-friendly listening.
I am forever a student, continuing to learn and practice 5 languages every day. I love being in the nature, travelling, animals, cooking, talking about the environment, doing sports, listening to music, going to museums and lots more. My other passion in life is food and nutrition and so I have been working as a dietitian for a few years.Ja jako nauczyciel
Having gone through multiple different methods of education for learning languages, from school-taught, immersion, self-study and adult learning, I feel I have got extensive insight into how to learn a language effectively.
I find it a priority to make the lessons engaging, fun and informative, to keep it relevant to how the student may actually use the language. Whether you are looking for a more professional classroom-atmosphere and discuss grammar or do drill, or just a conversation partner to practice your Estonian, I can adapt to your preference. I personalise my lessons to relevant topics to the student, use written resources, audio materials, conversation starters, and help build vocabulary throughout the lessons.
Depending on the student, their age and interest, I try to incorporate relevant and interesting topics to cover during the lessons for better engagement and retention.
I believe that the more target language one has in their environment, the faster language acquisition happens. I prefer to leave students with additional homework between sessions to help focus the lessons on feedback, error correction, and answering any questions the homework may have risen.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

I learned what different types of food are called and we covered their different noun forms, focusing on vowel and consonant lengths. Not easy but very useful :)

Eli’ga on lihtne suhelda. Ta on heatahtlik, toetab ja aitab alati, kui tekivad raskused. Temaga suheldes tunnen end enesekindlalt ja turvaliselt.
