I've been a Japanese tutor since 2010 and have been teaching private lessons both in person as well as online.

The style I use to teach Japanese is the "Direct Method" where I will try to communicate and explain everything in Japanese. I use this method as I believe it is the most effective way of learning languages. If students have a difficult time understanding the Japanese being taught, I will assist by using English to help so do not worry!!

Another fun lesson! I have been enjoying listening to Japanese media and understanding a bit here and there. I would not be able to understand this much without Haruka sensei’s lessons. Thank you!!

The materials are getting progressively harder, but Haruka-sensei helps me to understand the material and always answers any questions I have until I fully understand :) Amazing lesson as always!

Just completed a set of 10 lessons with Haruka-sensei, and it was so much fun! The study material she uses (both articles and textbooks) is interesting and challenging, and she is always very helpful in explaining the grammar and vocabulary, as well as correcting any sentence structure errors. It's also fun to be able to share cultural notes and stories in each lesson! Thank you Haruka-sensei!
