I'm enjoying my lessons with 지은 선생님! Each lesson includes a good mix of activities, including general conversation, listening exercises, and more focused vocabulary/grammar content. The lessons are adapted to my level and aims, which I appreciate!

Today is exactly one year since I have started taking lessons with 지은 선생님. Every single lesson has been amazing and I have made so much progress thanks to her. I can't fully express the amount of gratitude I feel towards her and I sincerely hope I will be able to have many more lessons! I cannot recommend 지은 선생님 enough. I’ve been taking lessons with Jean for about 18 months. In that time, I’ve traveled to Korea twice and was able to have everyday conversations in Korean, thanks to Jean’s teachings and the confidence I’ve gained in her classes. In the first lesson, Jean asked which areas of Korean I wanted to focus on and tailored her lessons to suit. The classes are a mix of speaking and learning new patterns and phrases from materials that she provides. Jean creates a relaxed environment, and the first part of the lesson is usually spent having a chat. She listens patiently if I’m struggling to get a sentence out, offers guidance if needed and gently corrects mistakes. She’s very skilled at explaining the differences between similar grammar patterns and words and asks great questions to prompt you to use the phrases you’ve just learnt. If you are looking for an easy-going and skilled Korean teacher who creates an environment where you can comfortably make mistakes, look no further than Jean!

Jean and I clicked so well! She is easygoing, informative, and flexible with the ways she explains everything. Most importantly, I don’t feel nervous practicing Korean around her. Her energy is so welcoming and calming, and I feel okay making mistakes around her, so that I can immerse myself into the actual learning. And learning Korean/ Korean as a language start to feel natural to me, rather than treating it as another THING to be tackled in life. I’m really grateful to have her as my Korean tutor💞 you should try her class if you are someone looking for practical, and conversational Korean learning, or you are a HSP like me!😉😉

지은 선생님 is a great teacher and has a very welcoming style! I like that she uses Korean as much as possible during the lesson, so I can get an immersive experience. This encourages me to also speak in Korean as much as I can! We are following a textbook and workbook, but we make extra conversation based on the topics and examples, so it's fun! I also learn about the cultural nuances of different words as we go. This is exactly what I need at my level to get more comfortable speaking, and to review and use what I've studied independently over several years. I recommend studying with 지은 선생님! 고마워요!
