I had my first lesson with Anne-Kim in March 2001. This morning I completed my 126th lesson. I have other teachers, and I use other online platforms as part of my regimen for improving my ability in French, but my conversations with Anne-Kim are always the highlight of the week. She is very well informed and educated on a wide range of subjects and her perspective helps me - a boomer living on the west coast of Canada - to understand modern Quebec society and culture. She is always ready to respond to questions of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation - and does so in a way that is helpful without detracting from our conversation. Anne-Kim is very busy with her doctoral studies, but if you can find a time slot to book a lesson I know you won't regret doing so.

I have been working with Anne-Kim for about 4 months now and my French has improved so dramatically! I recently got back from a trip to France and everyone I interacted with was so surprised and wanted to know how I learned French. I am so grateful to Anne-Kim for helping me fall in love with the French language again!

Anne-Kim is a genuinely great teacher; I feel so grateful to work with her on improving my French and my understanding of Québécois and French culture. She brings great energy to our conversations and is always prepared with something for us to do (a game, a conversation topic) while simultaneously being ready to improvise on the fly if you bring a subject of interest to the lesson. I highly recommend Anne-Kim to anyone seriously looking to improve their French speaking capabilities, but especially if you have an interest in literature, the progression of the French language (yesterday we had a conversation around neutral French pronouns and making the language more inclusive; how cool!), and having a highly educated professor whose passions for the language and culture are infectious and are sure to be a well-spring of intriguing conversation.

Anne-Kim was a great teacher. She is very open and an excellent support for growing in my conversational French. I would definitely recommend her to others especially looking to practice and improve their conversation in French!
