My name is Danica, I am 28 years old and I come from Serbia, where I currently live. I graduated in Italian Language and Literature from the Faculty of Languages. During my studies, I spent a year in Rome, which greatly improved my communication skills and helped me grow both personally and professionally. It was one of the most valuable experiences of my life.
I am a sociable, open-minded, and creative person who enjoys meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I love dancing, music, books, and running, and I bring positive energy into my lessons.
I have experience teaching both Italian and English. I am patient and attentive, and I always try to adapt my lessons to each student’s needs and goals. I don’t follow a strict curriculum because I believe learning should be interesting and practical. For example, if your goal is to improve conversation, we will focus on speaking and real-life situations.
I recently passed the FCE exam, which shows my commitment to continuous learning.
My lessons are dynamic and interactive. I use different materials, including audio, and I always encourage students to speak more. I assess your level at the beginning, review key points regularly, and provide homework to support your progress.

Prove of spent time in Florence - Elite Academy - 2018I spent a month in Florence attending training to become an HR manager. During this time, I improved my Italian language skills and got to know parts of Italy that I hadn't previously been familiar with. Additionally, I enhanced my knowledge of business language.
Translation project - Smederevo steel mill - 2017Contract for services on the project that lasted for a month at the Smederevo steel mill. This project helped me greatly to improve my translation skills, both in simultaneous and consecutive translation. I translated with a friend from Italian to Serbian and vice versa.

It was a really great experience because most of the students were beginners, and there were a lot of Italian students who wanted to learn English. For me, it was one of my first experiences in teaching, and it was so valuable and stimulating.

Danica is a really suppletive tutor, she recently started at Italki but during our lesson she showed me how experienced she is. Her perfect Italian, Serbian and English are very helpful when communicating and explaining things I didn’t understand.
