Hi, I am Haruna from Tokyo, Japan.
I used to work at an IT company for about 4 years, but this year, I became a Japanese teacher!
I completed a 420-hour Japanese teacher training course and am currently working as a Japanese teacher.
My hobbies are traveling, enjoying delicious food and coffee, KPOP/Korean dramas, watching figure skating, musicals, and crocheting:)

大学を卒業してから、日本のIT企業で約4年間働いていましたが、
今年から日本語の先生になりました！
今はオーストラリアのメルボルンに住んでいます。

🗒️Qualification and experience:
・Completed a 420-hour Japanese language teacher training course
・Used to teach Japanese to international students as a volunteer when I was a university student
✏️What makes me unique as a teacher:
1. I am good at teaching beginners slowly and clearly since I was in charge of training new employees when I worked a Japanese company.
2. I have experience working in a Japanese company, so I can teach business Japanese and Japanese corporate culture.

In my lessons, I teach Japanese in Japanese.
This is because I want to give my students as many opportunities as possible to be exposed to Japanese during the lessons.
You might feel anxious about taking lessons conducted in Japanese... but don’t worry!

I feel very lucky to find Haruna. Even if I'm a very beginner and been studying Japanese only for 2 month she helps me to have real conversations Japanese only!

I did a trial lesson with Haruna 先生! I was nervous as this was my first lesson with Japanese. She was so nice and my nervousness went away very quickly. She was very encouraging and I had a lot of fun. I’m excited to learn with her!

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Haruna! I am a complete beginner so we went through commonly used greetings, and she gave lots of examples and opportunities to practice speaking. I'll definitely book another lesson again!
