拓巳さん has really helped me understand 漢字 and their radicals. Honestly I like his methods alot for improving 漢字 comprehension. They range from letting you struggle to read the characters, to identifying radicals, presenting common readings and repeating common words using their 漢字 reading. I have learned to identify many readings and radicals with 拓巳さん I hope to continue to improve with his guidance.

たくさんはとてもいい先⽣です！ Taku is an excellent teacher! He's very patient, knowledgeable, and knows how to explain things in a way that makes Japanese "stick". Lessons with him are always fun. I highly recommend him for your next Japanese lesson!

Taku naturally guides the conversation during our practice. He asks good questions and also has interesting and easy enough to understand responses. He speaks clearly and slowly enough that it's less intimidating for an intermediate student like me. It was really fun talking about what video games we play, sports, and nature. He is quick to know the meaning of lots of random words that I don't know in Japanese. Conversational practice is a good go with the flow, no pressure environment.
