Salve/Χαῖρε! I’m Lucas from Rosario, Argentina. I teach the languages I love most: Latin and Ancient Greek.
My favorite hobbies are studying math, reading or listening to topics related to the ancient Greeks, science, theology, Jewish/Christian culture. I am also very skeptical of Hume's critic of miracle because, despite being a colossal nerd, I landed a girlfriend.

In my Latin and Ancient Greek lessons, we dive straight into adapted texts—reading, discussing, and thinking in the language itself. While I avoid translation (we speak the language as much as possible), I clarify grammar in English when needed, highlighting quirks, patterns, or key concepts. Beyond reading, I encourage active composition—writing in the language is just as important as understanding it. I have been taking Latin with Lucas for about a year, and just recently started learning Ancient Greek. In both subjects he has been a fantastic teacher, and having taken lessons with other teachers on italki, I can definitely say he is one of the best. He takes the time to explain key concepts and gives great exercises to ensure mastery. In just two Ancient Greek lessons I already feel significantly more capable in my reading comprehension, and speaking abilities.
