Mana

I absolutely loved this lesson with Mana! I'm very much a beginner (I have only studied the first two lessons in Genki I before this lesson). Mana conducted the lesson almost entirely in Japanese, which surprised me, but very pleasantly. I wasn't expecting that at all, and I would have expected it to not be possible at my very early stage in the learning process. But Mana used very basic vocabulary, and very occasionally helped out in English when I just couldn't grasp what was being said or written. But what I loved about this is that it forces you to concentrate much more when not able to use your native language, and it felt like such an achiement to complete a lesson in that way. Most importantly it has helped my confidence in my own ability to read, hear and speak japanese greatly which of course is a huge plus. Mana is a great tutor, and I'm very much looking forward to our next lesson. ありがとうございます！

Mana-sensei has everything you want in an Japanese teacher. She's really good at defining Japanese words, in Japanese, without stitching to English. She always understands my struggling sentences and offers the more natural way of saying the same thing. Most of all she is very pleasant, and always fun to talk to. Definitely one of my favorite teachers. Period.

J’adore les leçons avec Mana-san. Avant de commencer les cours, mon niveau général était intermédiaire (JLPT N3) mais mon niveau en expression était en comparaison très faible. Mana-san a donc orienté les cours sur la discussion. Elle peut proposer des sujets de discussions mais je peux aussi proposer les miens (loisirs,anecdote,..) La discussion se fait entièrement en japonais et Mana-san me corrige lorsque j’emploie mal une notion de grammaire ou me propose de nouveaux mots plus adaptés. La discussion n’est pas toujours centrée sur moi et j’en apprends également sur Mana-san et la culture japonaise. Mana-san est vraiment agréable et parfois on rigole même. Après seulement 3 leçons, j’ai pu voir mes progrès lors de mon voyage au Japon. J’ai senti une amélioration dans mes capacités à me présenter et à questionner pour obtenir une information précise. Après 10 leçons je continue de progresser et mon cerveau fatigue moins vite qu'avant. Je recommande fortement Mana-san comme professeur.
