I enjoyed this lesson alot ! We learned many Uyghur phrases about restaurant which was very helpful! He is a very good teacher! He teaches very well! My favorite part of the lessons of him is that he is always prepared, on time and organized and friendly! I always have a great time!

In our second full lesson, Şevket taught be present/near future tense verbs and some preliminary details of the locative and dative markers. His explanations are very clear, lessons are fun, and he makes sure to check that I've understood everything that we've covered, plus gave some really great advice for practicing on my own!

Şevket is an excellent teacher who is very knowledgeable about Turkish. As someone who likes to learn grammar, he is always willing to explain more complicated grammatical topics when I ask. He also pushes me to learn and practice in other ways so that I will be able to speak with more confidence. Overall, I highly recommend him as a Turkish teacher.

He has been encouraging me to use what Chinese I know to make more complicated sentences to describe pictures. This has been a really fun exercise!

Şevket is an exceptional Turkish teacher, in part because he knows what it was like to learn Turkish. He brings a wealth of knowledge having become fluent in the language and living in Turkey for a long time. He is patient and adaptive, meaning that he understands that certain concepts may be difficult to learn and will require extra time, but is able to shift gears when what you want to learn is not in the book. Overall, I can't say enough about how wonderful of a teacher Şevket is.

I have taken many lessons with Şevket, all of which have been very good. He has a book that we use, but he also pushes me to have conversations and write short paragraphs for homework to get me to use new words in Turkish. Turkish is not always easy, but Şevket explains grammatical concepts in a way that is easy for me to get. I am finding that I am progressing much more quickly than I would have thought, in no small part to Şevket's assistance.
