I'd changed 6 Chinese teachers in a year before I found Ling. She's all I ever wanted from a Chinese teacher: flexible, understanding, accommodating, empathetic, speaks English very well, understands my needs and adapts our lessons to them. She's always on the ball, she gives me positive energy and I always look forward to having my Chinese lesson.

I have been taking classes with Ling老师 for the past few weeks and I am still continuing with her. She is always punctual which I truly appreciate. What stands out the most is how she recognizes my struggles and knows exactly how to help me overcome them. Thanks to her marvelous approach, I have been able to apply what I have learned in her class into real life situations with confidence. She creates an engaging and dynamic learning environment filled with interesting facts that make every lesson exciting and enjoyable. Her positive energy keeps me motivated and she makes learning feel comfortable and fun. I feel like I am constantly improving.

I was looking for a very specific style of Chinese lessons that Ling had never taught before. She was willing to develop a completely new approach with me and quickly created lessons and study notes that perfectly matched my learning style. Her flexibility and adaptability impressed me from the very beginning. Our lessons focus on natural communication instead of textbook Chinese. We explore different ways to express the same ideas, ranging from everyday expressions to more humorous ones. My study notes introduce new vocabulary mainly through images, which works very well for me. Ling is excellent at guiding conversations and helping me turn simple ideas into smooth, natural-sounding stories. Creating them together is always enjoyable. Most importantly, she genuinely cares about her students' progress and always tries to provide the kind of teaching that works best for each individual. We've been having lessons for about a month now and I am very happy with how they are going so far😊. I've always considered speaking and listening skills as the most important ones when learning a new language, and Ling's lessons are all about them. She prefers to speak Chinese unless it is absolutely necessary to explain smth hard, so I listen to Chinese for most of the lesson🐉. There is also plenty of time for me to speak Chinese myself and I'm trying not to switch to English unless it's smth complex that I'm not sure how to explain. I really like the way we learn vocabulary because, personally, I remember it better through practice and constant repeat, which is exactly what we have during our lessons!:) The teacher explains their meaning through example sentences and context which is what helps me remember them naturally. We also do practice reading through dialogues and texts📖, and writing through the homework I do outside of our classes that we can later check together🖊️💜!:)

I highly recommend Ling after having had 5 or so lessons. I just started learning and really benefit from a teacher with excellent English skills. Will continue to learn with her.

Great teacher! I was looking for someone to help me with my speaking, and Ling is super helpful! She is willing to repeat things and explain things in different ways to help you understand. Speaking is much more difficult than just knowing a grammar point, so having practice with it is super useful. I think lessons with Ling will really improve my speaking over time. Highly recommend this teacher!
