I'm Amara, a Native English speaker born and raised in London, England. I am a qualified English teacher currently travelling the world! I have taught a wide range of learners with varying levels of English. I studied English Literature and graduated with a First Class, continuing on to work, write and travel. I became a qualified TEFL teacher because of my love for languages - not only do I enjoy immersing myself in new languages but I also enjoy helping people confidently express themselves in English. I'm excited to meet you and help you get fluent in English!

My teaching style adapts to each of my students and their learning styles! A huge part of my approach focusses on how students feel comfortable learning. There are some things I can guarantee:
- an interactive lesson
- a relaxed environment
- lots of opportunity to practice and speak!
- focus on accent and pronunciation
No matter what your English level is, I aim to make you feel confident communicating with what you have.
Generally, I like my classes to feel relaxed and experimental so that you feel comfortable to freely practice the language.

My teaching style is heavily influenced by real-world materials. You can expect lots of literature and audio materials in every lesson so that you have the opportunity to use your English skills in real-life settings.
I am TEFL accredited and my teaching style is influenced by this training. I plan with skill-based lessons and try, as often as possible, to include new and exciting ways to experiment with reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
