Chia is a wonderful teacher and I feel very confident going on this language-learning journey with her!

The Professor Chia, is always excellent and professional. She has a unique way of teaching the four Chinese tones. This is an excellent opportunity for students to learn Chinese tonality.

Professor Chia, is excellent at explaining Chinese pinyin, grammar and tonality. She is very positive and easy to listen to. I really enjoy her fun lesson, and highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve traditional or simplified Chinese language.

A Teacher Who Actually Listens I've been taking Chinese lessons with Chia, and what stands out most is how she teaches: she lets me struggle through sentences without jumping in. That patience is rare. When I finish, she catches the unnatural phrasing I missed and explains why the correction works better. The practical stuff matters too. She records vocabulary audio on her own time and organizes notes in Google Docs, so I'm not scrambling to remember what we covered. Her English is excellent, which means explanations land clearly without guessing games. Chia runs punctual sessions and keeps things encouraging without fake enthusiasm—she'll genuinely acknowledge when you've improved. Her internet connection holds steady (no frozen screens or repeated "can you hear me?"), and she speaks multiple languages fluently, including Spanish. If you want someone who combines solid teaching fundamentals with thoughtful prep work, she's worth your time.

Great class, as always! Today we went through more colloqiual phrases. I highly recommend Chia 老師, because even if you've been studying for a long time and know a decent number of words, I promise that she'll teach you something new. All of the words that we learned today were things that I either haven't encountered before or didn't know well enough to remember. 謝謝老師！
