She taught me real-world survival Mandarin: renting an apartment, negotiating with landlords, talking to doctors, and rejecting people graciously. This is the vocabulary textbooks skip. Chia listens without interrupting — rare and valuable. The lesson flows naturally, not like a drill. She consistently runs a full 60 minutes (other teachers stop at 50–55), and she responds to messages quickly with thoughtful detail, even answering questions between lessons.
