Ciao! I’m Jovana, a Serbian linguist and Italian language enthusiast with a PhD in linguistics. Summers in Italy perfected my Italian and immersed me in dialects and culture, which I love sharing with students. I am very easygoing and relaxed. With a PhD in linguistics, I bring extensive expertise in language learning and teaching, so you don’t need to worry about mistakes or challenges along the way. I will guide you to make this journey smoother and will always be available to answer your questions. During my doctoral studies, I had the opportunity to teach Italian as a second language, which was an enriching experience. I have also taught students on various platforms, blending academic rigor with practical insights. Con Jovana imparo l'inglese. Lei è un'insegnante davvero eccezionale! Dalla prima lezione sono stato benissimo. È molto simpatica e ti mette a proprio agio fin da subito. È bello riuscire a trovare degli insegnanti che diano un valore significativo alle lezioni, che capiscono le difficoltà nell'apprendere una lingua perché sanno quali sono gli step da fare e in che modo affrontarli, riuscendo a farti amare la lingua che desideri imparare.
Sono entusiasta e non non appena finiamo la lezione non vedo l'ora che arrivi la prossima!

A lovely second encounter with Jovana- we are starting my Italian journey from the basics as I have forgotten so much! Jovana is patient, encouraging and able to share a wealth of knowledge, linguistic as well as cultural, about Italy and the Balkan region, two areas in which I have great interest. I look forward to our next session.
