I have been studying under Noriko-sensei for over a year, progressing from N4 to N2, and my understanding of grammar has improved considerably as a result. Rather than simply presenting patterns to memorize, Noriko-sensei consistently explains the reasoning behind each grammar point and clarifies how it differs in nuance from similar grammar patterns. Concepts I once frequently confused are now clear to me. I am truly grateful for the strong foundation Noriko-sensei has helped me build. 🙏 一年以上、のり子先生に教えていただいていて、N4からN2まで来ることができました。特に文法の理解がすごく深まったなと感じています。ただ「この形を覚えてください」ではなく、なぜそう使うのか、似たような文法とどう違うのかまでちゃんと説明してくれるので、腑に落ちる感覚があります。前はよく似た文法を混同していたんですが、今はちゃんとニュアンスの違いが分かるようになりました。のり子先生には本当に感謝しています。🙏

Noriko-sensei was very encouraging and fun to talk to and from our trial lesson I could tell that she would be able to help me improve my Japanese skills across the board. I have been studying with Noriko Sensei for over three years now, and it is always a great experience learning from her. We used みんなの日本語 as the starting textbook, and then moved on to できる日本語 for more advanced grammar and kanji. Noriko Sensei always accompanies the book’s lessons with various slideshows/presentations, which include great practice segments. There is almost always some homework, which also helps along the way. So far, it’s been excellent and I Iook forward to continuing with Noriko Sensei!

Noriko-sensei is excellent. She very kindly took the time to check over extra writing I did. A 60 min lesson with her goes by in a flash, and Noriko-sensei makes me want to improve faster. I tried learning Japanese before, but I never had this much or felt this encouraged. I highly recommend her!

I have been studying with Kojima-sensei since I was a complete beginner almost a year ago, and her lessons have played a huge role in my progress. One thing I especially appreciate is that she does not immediately give you the answer when you struggle. She gives you time to think and work things out for yourself, while knowing exactly when to step in and help. This has made me much more comfortable with making mistakes and actually using Japanese rather than just studying it. Our lessons have been almost entirely in Japanese from the very beginning, even when I was a complete beginner. It was difficult at first, but the immersion gave me a lot of motivation and helped me become comfortable communicating in Japanese much earlier than I otherwise would have. Kojima-sensei is very knowledgeable, attentive, and patient, and after many lessons together, I still genuinely look forward to the next one. I would highly recommend her to motivated students who want to improve their Japanese.
