I have been a volunteer assistant English teacher at Bethel independent School for 2 years, teaching 4 to 5 year old students. This is a primary school in South Africa. My duties include, preparing lesson plans and delivering lessons, observing and evaluating student's performance. I received my 120-hour TEFL Certification from i-to-i Teach English Abroad (Leeds, United Kingdom) in which I specialized in lesson planning, lesson content and lesson delivery in teaching English as a foreign language. This course has prepared me and made me more confident as an English teacher. I love to share my knowledge of English with students to help them grow, love the language and have a brighter future. I like to shape my lesson content around an individual student's needs and interests. I do this because i know learning a language is not a "one size fits all", tailoring my lesson content to address areas where a certain student needs to improve will help the student to achieve their goals of language learning. Involving student's interest in lesson content will motivate the students to participate in the learning process. I also like to create a positive environment where my students feel safe even to make mistakes knowing I am there for them to assist them in their journey of language learning. It was nice conversation. The teacher spend our dialogs with my wishes. The teacher wrote down my trouble sentences and sent it as I asked. Just one minus bad internet connection.
