You will not regret booking a lesson with Sergio. I continue to learn more with him than I ever did even with just lessons once a week than I did in 6 years of Spanish classes, and unlike school I actually look forward to learning from him every week. Sergio is a great teacher because he himself is a student of language and he shares the same enthusiasm for discussing and learning languages that all of us on Italki have. He deserves all the praise he gets. Honestly, if reviews like this make his schedule busier, I would not even be the slightest bit upset because he definitely deserves all the success he has earned.

Sergio, thank you for a lovely first lesson together that exceeded my already high expectations! I'm really looking forward to more. Even though I'm a beginner, you gently pushed me out of my comfort zone and put my Spanish speaking and listening skills to the test right off the bat. I could definitely feel my brain working in overdrive and making new synapses on the spot. We somehow managed to conduct the majority of the lesson in Spanish, which was a very welcome surprise and a really rewarding feeling. Our conversation on daily life and future plans allowed me to acquire a lot of useful vocabulary straight away, and our chat about hobbies and passions was really fun - we even established common interests which we can explore in the future! Lastly, thank you very much for the warm, kind, and positive energy that you brought to the lesson. It made me feel safe to try things out, make mistakes, and learn.

I've been taking Spanish lessons with Sergio for several weeks, and learning with him has been one of the most enjoyable language experiences I've had. He has the perfect balance of patience, encouragement, and a great sense of humor — which comes in handy when I accidentally say something ridiculous in Spanish (which is often). He never makes me feel rushed or self-conscious, even when I stumble through basic sentences or blank on vocabulary I definitely should remember. Instead, Sergio keeps things light and motivating, always ready with a smile and just the right amount of correction to keep me improving without feeling overwhelmed. I also really appreciate how confident he is in my progress — even when I doubt myself, he doesn’t. This kind of approach goes a long way when learning a language. If you’re looking for someone who’s patient, skilled, and makes learning a new language fun, I highly recommend Sergio.

Sergio is super friendly and patient. He always comes up with interesting topics on intermediate level to talk about giving opportunities to expand on vocabulary.
